Therefore, protestant Christians after a while decided to desert polygamy on the whole.

Church of the Latter Day Saints, or more commonly, the Mormon Church decided to carry on with the ritual of polygamy. The Mormons, relatively simply permit the occasion of polygamous marriages, and plainly educate their members about this ideal and proclaimed their contribution to it widely.
