On our planet earth, even in the earliest days and even today, any issue that people are unable to find the origin of or are unable to comprehend in a better manner is labelled as a myth or a rumour. And, as we all know everybody loves to talk and think about stuff they don’t really understand. So, people with little knowledge of sex are curious and keep on thinking all the time and like to talk whenever they can about it.

Masturbation is an objective of a lot of myths just like any other sexual activity for people who are quite knowledgeable in this regard. And surprisingly, people with all the knowledge of sex and masturbation, think and believe that the act of masturbation is for kids only. So, people who think in such a way are simply wrong as the act of pleasing oneself is commonly practiced by married and unmarried people all over the world.

Some people also think that people who are lonely, sad, desperate, or unsatisfied masturbate. Now, according to a research study about 90% of the males throughout the whole wide world masturbate and 50% of the woman all around the globe act to please themselves.

Biologically, masturbation is quite a natural phenomenon and people doing it should admit it rather than getting ashamed of telling about their little secret. So, this particular myth about masturbation is totally busted.

Next myth in a row regarding masturbation is that that only men masturbate and women refrain from masturbating. Beep!! this one is busted too as women love to please themselves as much as men do. However, women tend to masturbate less frequently than men, but do not refrain from such activities.

Now, this is an interesting one. You must have heard rumours like people who masturbate are likely to be homosexuals. It is absolutely preposterous as every individual either a boy or a girl between the ages of 10 and 13 start discovering sex through masturbation and if we believe that the above stated myth is right then almost everybody on our planet earth is a homosexual freak.

One of the other myths to scare young people and making them refrain from masturbating is that that repetitive masturbation affects the growth of the penis and testicles also shrink down. It is totally absurd and nobody can prove this myth medically, so don’t worry boys, have fun.

There is a long array of myths compiled and spread around to scare young people to refrain from masturbation and some of those myths are: extra hair growth on hands, hair loss, fatigue, neurological illnesses, bad eyesight, and etc. Well myths are myths and hold no truth; however some superstitious people still believe in such myths, but believe you me they are all made-up stories and nothing else.

Repetitive masturbation can make a man run out of semen. Wow, that’s a classic one and can make any boy stop masturbating and watch T.V. But is it true? No, absolutely not, it is both logically and scientifically wrong. According to a study men in their advanced ages of 90 are able to produce semen and sperms, although it’s of no use at that age, but still they are capable of producing it.

Can you believe that you can have STDs (sexually transmitted diseases without having sex? According to another classic rumour you can have a sexually transmitted disease due to masturbation, well you can just laugh on that one.
